Vegetation Fire - City of Daly City

On November 12, 2025 at 1:16 p.m., 3 Fire Companies, 1 Chief Officer and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a reported vegetation fire at 222 Lausanne Ave. in Daly City.

The first arriving fire company found smoke and flames coming from a vegetation fire that was burning up hill from Hillside Park. Fire companies made access into the fire area through steep terrain and using hose lines were able to contain the fire, which burned a quarter of an acre of light vegetation and shrubbery. No structures were threatened and no residents were evacuated.

Fire companies remained on scene for over an hour checking for fire extension, completing overhaul and mop up operations. There were no injuries to any of the firefighters.

The fire is under investigation by the North County Fire Authority Fire Prevention Division. If anyone witnessed any individuals in the area at the time of the fire, they are advised to call the North County Fire Authority with details at 650-800-6580

The North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of cutting and removing all dry grass and flammable vegetation around their homes.
