Vegetation Fire - City of Brisbane

On June 06, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., 3 Fire Companies, 1 Chief Officer and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a vegetation fire to the east of 601 Tunnel Avenue in the City of Brisbane.

The first arriving fire company found a ¼ acre vegetation fire in the grass behind the lumberyard. Using hose lines, firefighters worked up the hill to contain and extinguish the fire with forward progress stopped at 3/4 acre. No structures were threatened, and there were no injuries to any firefighters or civilians.

Fire companies remained on scene for over two hours controlling hot spots and ensuring total extinguishment. The fire is under investigation by North County Fire Authority, Fire Prevention Division.

North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of cutting and removing all dry grass and flammable vegetation around their homes and businesses.
