
On April 18, 2025 at 12:30 p.m., 7 Fire Companies, 2 Chief Officers and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a vegetation fire to the northeast of 178 West Hill Place in the City of Brisbane.
The first arriving fire company found a ¼ acre vegetation fire on a hill to the right of a commercial warehouse. Using hose lines, firefighters worked up the hill to contain and extinguish the fire with forward progress stopped at a ½ acre. No structures were threatened, and there were no injuries to any firefighters or civilians.
Fire companies remained on scene for over two hours controlling hot spots and ensuring total extinguishment. The fire is under investigation by North County Fire Authority, Fire Prevention Division.
North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone of the importance of cutting and removing all dry grass and flammable vegetation around their homes and businesses.
