Residential Structure Fire - City of Daly City

On October 12, 2024, at 03:42 p.m., 6 Fire Companies, 1 Breathing Support Unit, 2 Chief Officers, and 2
Fire Investigators responded to a residential structure fire at 83 Lighthouse Lane, in the City of Daly City.


The first arriving fire company found smoke and heavy fire coming from single-family residence.
Firefighters made entry and began search and rescue operations throughout the home but found no
occupants. Simultaneously using hose lines firefighters were able to knock the fire down and protected
other adjacent homes. The single-family residence had been unoccupied at the time of the fire.


The incident caused moderate to major fire and smoke damage to the home displacing those living at the
location. The American Red Cross is providing for living accommodations.


Fire companies remained on scene for over four hours checking for fire extension, while also conducting
salvage and overhaul operations.


The cause of the incident is currently under investigation by North County Fire Authority, Fire Prevention
Division, Investigations Section.

smoke alarms. Working smoke alarms increase your chances of surviving a home fire by 50%. And to
always discard smoking materials into noncombustible containers.
