Residential Structure Fire - City of Daly City

On June 26, 2026, at 7:37 a.m., 6 Fire Companies, 2 Chief Officers, and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a residential structure fire at 321 Price Street, in the City of Daly City.

The first arriving fire company found heavy black smoke coming from the second-floor interior landing of a three-story apartment building. Firefighters made entry to the second-floor unit and found an extinguished stove top fire in the kitchen while simultaneously performing search and rescue operations throughout the unit. No residents were found, but two dogs were rescued from the unit and returned to their owners. The fire caused fire damage to the kitchen and smoke damage throughout the unit and fire damage to the third-floor unit above.

Fire companies remained on scene for over two hours checking for fire extension and completing salvage and overhaul operations. Four residents and two dogs were displaced by the fire and received housing assistance through the American Red Cross. There were no injuries to any of the firefighters or residents.

The fire started in the kitchen on the stove range top. The North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone to never leave the kitchen when cooking.
