Residential Structure Fire - City of Daly City

On January 17, 2026, at 10:49 a.m. 6 Fire Companies, 2 Chief Officers, 1 Fire Investigator, responded to a residential structure fire at 59 Amhurst Ct., in the City of Daly City.

The first-arriving fire company encountered heavy smoke and active flames coming from the two-story single-family home.

Firefighters made a rapid attack and were able to quickly extinguish the fire, while simultaneously performing a primary search to ensure all occupants had safely evacuated. No residents were found inside the home.

The fire caused extensive damage to the exterior and interior of the home. Fire companies remained on scene for approximately three hours to check for fire extension and to complete salvage and overhaul operations.

There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians. Tragically, the family’s pet did not survive the fire. As a result of the incident, four residents have been displaced

The incident is under investigation by North County Fire Authority Fire Prevention Division.
