Residential Structure Fire - City of Daly City

On December 1,2025 at 0942 AM 6 Fire Companies, 2 Chief Officers, 1 Fire Investigator responded to a residential structure fire at #4382 Callahan Road, in the City of Daly City.

The first arriving fire company encountered a column of smoke coming from the kitchen window and attic roof vents.

The fire crew quickly ensured the safe evacuation of the family and immediately extinguished a kitchen fire that had begun spreading into the attic space through the cooking vents The fire caused moderate damage to the kitchen and attic space with the crews remaining on scene for approximately 1.5 hours to check for fire extension.

There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians. Redcross was called to assist four family members with housing.

The fire investigation revealed that the cause to be accidental, resulting from leaving the kitchen unattended while cooking.

North County Fire Authority wants to remind everyone to never leave cooking unattended. Stay in the kitchen to prevent house fires and keep family safe.
