Commercial Structure Fire - City of Daly City

On April 15th 2026, at 12:58 p.m., 6 Fire Companies, 2 Chief Officers, and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a commercial structure fire at 101 Wellington Ave., in the City of Daly City.

The first arriving fire company found smoke and fire coming from the first level of an abandoned two-story commercial building. Using hose lines, firefighters were able to extinguish the fire while simultaneously performing search and rescue operations as well as protecting adjacent homes and property. No occupants were found or in need of rescue and the fire was contained to the first level.

Fire companies remained on scene for over three hours checking for fire extension and completing salvage and overhaul operations. No one was displaced by the fire and there were no injuries to any of the firefighters or residents.

Fire investigation revealed that the fire was human caused and due to trespassers.
