Cliff Rescue - City of Pacifica

On February 27, 2026 at 4:34 p.m., 3 Fire Companies, 1 Rescue Unit, and 1 Chief Officer responded for a cliff rescue in the at the North end of Linda Mar Beach in the City of Pacifica.

Responding firefighters discovered one subject stuck approximately 20 feet below the top of the beach cliff at the North end of Linda Mar Beach in the City of Pacifica. Utilizing a combination of low and high angle rope rescue operations from the Emergency Response Vehicle, firefighters were lowered to the awaiting subject to assist with a safe descent from the cliff. Firefighter paramedics evaluated the condition of the subject who was uninjured and released at scene.

There were no injuries to emergency personnel.

The incident was mitigated in approximately one and a half hours.
