2ª Alarma de Incendio de Estructura en Pacifica

On December 12, 2017 at 3:14 p.m., 11 Fire Companies, 1 Breathing Support Unit, 4 Chief Officers, and 1 Fire Investigator responded to a structure fire at 139 Catalina Avenue in the City of Pacifica.

The first arriving fire company found heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear of a two story, single family home and igniting the home next door at 135 Catalina Avenue.  Firefighters searched the home at 139 and rescued two dogs, which suffered smoke inhalation. Firefighters administered oxygen to one of the dogs and were able to resuscitate it at the scene. Firefighters used hose lines to contain the fire of the home at 139 to the rear upper and lower rooms with smoke damage to the rest of the home. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the rear enclosed patio of the home at 135.

Fire companies remained on scene for over 3 hours checking for fire extension, completing overhaul and mop up operations. Four residents were displaced by the fire at 139, but made their own arrangements for temporary housing. Two residents and an infant at 135 Catalina Avenue were also displaced due to smoke damage to their home. There were no injuries to any of the firefighters or residents.
